T5 Exonuclease

Product Introduction

T5 exonuclease degrades DNA in the 5'→3 direction (1). It can digest from the 5' end or from nicks or gaps in linear or circular double-stranded DNA, but cannot degrade supercoiled double-stranded DNA. T5 exonuclease also has single-stranded DNA endonuclease activity. Degradation of denatured DNA produced by alkaline lysis plasmid extraction methods improves DNA cloning efficiency.

Product Feature

- No residual nucleases or nickases;

- Good stability;

- Adding EDTA to a final concentration of at least 11 mM or DNA loading buffer containing SDS (final concentration of 0.08%) can inactivate T5 Exonuclease;
