Taq DNA ligase
Product Introduction
The 5´-phosphate end of adjacent DNA chains and the 3´-hydroxyl end form a phosphodiester bond. This connection reaction can only occur when the two oligonucleotide chains are completely paired with complementary target DNA and there are no gaps between the two oligonucleotide chains. Therefore, it can be used to detect single base substitutions. Taq DNA ligase uses NAD as a cofactor. Taq DNA ligase is active in the range of 37-75°C.
Product Feature
- Active in the range of 45℃-65℃; Can be inactivated by heating;
Product Application
- Connecting sticky and blunt-end DNA fragments, homologous recombination;
Product Data
The ligase activity of Taq DNA was tested by digesting λ DNA with HindⅢ.
